She had felt ʙʟᴏᴀᴛᴇᴅ but was completely ᴜɴᴀᴡᴀʀᴇ she was nine months ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ with her second child when she began ᴇxᴘᴇʀɪᴇɴᴄɪɴɢ sᴛᴏᴍᴀᴄʜ ᴄʀᴀᴍᴘs last Saturday.
She and her partner of four years, Calvin Home, 27, had returned home from a family dinner and had gone to ʙᴇᴅ when Georgia woke up at around 3am in ᴇxᴄʀᴜᴄɪᴀᴛɪɴɢ ᴘᴀɪɴ. After being told that an ᴀᴍʙᴜʟᴀɴᴄᴇwould take six hours to arrive, Georgia remained in ʙᴇᴅ whilst Calvin went downstairs to look after their two-year-old daughter, Isla-Mae. When he came back upstairs to check on his partner, she was sat on the Fʟᴏᴏʀ ᴄʀᴀᴅʟɪɴɢ ᴀ ʙᴀʙʏ ʙᴏʏ. Georgia said: “Calvin was downstairs with our little girl and he thought I was asleep. When he came up I was on the Fʟᴏᴏʀ and I had ᴊᴜsᴛ ʜᴀᴅ the baby. He was on the phone to the ᴀᴍʙᴜʟᴀɴᴄᴇand was like ‘ᴏʜ ᴍʏ ɢᴏᴅ ɪᴛ’s ᴀ F****** ʙᴀʙʏ.’ I had been on the ʙᴇᴅ and I ᴊᴜsᴛ felt like I really needed to ᴘᴜsʜ. I got on ᴍʏ ʜᴀɴᴅs and ᴋɴᴇᴇs and was ᴊᴜsᴛ ʙɪᴛɪɴɢ on to the ᴅᴜᴠᴇᴛ.”
Baby son Vincent Home was born at 8.05am on Saturday morning. Georgia and baby were taken to Rᴏʏᴀʟ Oʟᴅʜᴀᴍ Hᴏsᴘɪᴛᴀʟ within 10 minutes of Georgia giving birth, where they remained for several days to ensure they were healthy. Vincent was ɪɴɪᴛɪᴀʟʟʏ ᴛʀᴀɴsFᴇʀʀᴇᴅ ᴛᴏ ɪɴᴛᴇɴsɪᴠᴇ ᴄᴀʀᴇ ᴅᴜᴇ to ᴀɴ ɪɴFᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ but luckily, the family were able to return to their home in Chadderton on Saturday and Isla-Mae could meet her unexpected baby brother. Georgia said that up until last Friday night she had been feeling ᴀʙsᴏʟᴜᴛᴇʟʏ Fɪɴᴇ, and had ɴᴏ ɪᴅᴇᴀ she could be ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ. She said: “Since I had my girl I have sᴛʀᴜɢɢʟᴇᴅ ʀᴇᴀʟʟʏ ʙᴀᴅʟʏ with my weight and when I was going out I was feeling ʀᴇᴀʟʟʏ ʙʟᴏᴀᴛᴇᴅ. I don’t get ᴘᴇʀɪᴏᴅs anyway because I have had the ᴄᴏɴᴛʀᴀᴄᴇᴘᴛɪᴠᴇ ɪɴᴊᴇᴄᴛɪᴏɴ. People actually used to tell me I ʟᴏᴏᴋᴇᴅ ᴘʀᴇɢɴᴀɴᴛ and I would get ʀᴇᴀʟʟʏ ᴜᴘsᴇᴛ and then when the baby came out I was like wow maybe that is why.”
Vincent’s grandparents, Traci and George Crowther say they are ‘absolutely over the moon’ with their new grandson – after getting over the ɪɴɪᴛɪᴀʟ sʜᴏᴄᴋ. Georgia said: “There was a lot of sᴡᴇᴀʀɪɴɢ when I told my family. There was a lot of sʜᴏᴄᴋ. Everyone thought I was joking at first.” The couple say their incredible friends and family have rallied round over the last week, to make sure they have all the clothes and supplies Vincent will need. She added:” We have been given so much stuff it’s incredible. I ᴊᴜsᴛ can’t wait for Vincent to meet his little sister.”
