A two-year-old poodle named Sunny had a horrible background since his family abandoned him at the apartment where they were living; they took all of their possessions, but they didn’t care about him. He remained there for a number of weeks, and each day his health deteriorated worse; his fur was entirely matted, and it was even impossible for him to move.
He was saved by the Humane Society of North Texas to give him a second shot at life when they learned what had transpired, which was a blessing.
The Humane Society of North Texas’s Cassie Lackey, human relations manager, stated to The Dodo:
The apartment complex manager got in touch with us after finding that Sunny had lingered in the flat for a final tour.
The dog’s situation of abandonment was so upsetting that his family most likely neglected him when they were living with him.
“When the fur covering his eyes was taken off, he only made a face. Like a statue, he was. His body was motionless, but his eyes were in motion.
Sunny needed to have his matted fur removed, so the groomer at a nearby PetSmart volunteered to take care of him. To keep Sunny calm, she had to give him a little tranquilizer.
Sections of the haircut were completed, and the entire procedure—including breaks—took almost eight hours. The puppy needed treatment since he had several wounds all over his body.
He was placed in a foster home while his condition improved, and two weeks later he showed significant progress, becoming a joyful and sociable dog.
Sunny was ecstatic when Cassie took him back to L PetSmart to do some shopping.
A superman costume that Cassie and Sunny discovered was the ideal clothing for him.
